New Music: RichGirl feat. Fabolous & Rick Ross - Swagger Right
I'm probably wild late on this one but I just started hearing this in the past week or so. I'm diggin' it! Shout to the former co-workers at the plantation, Lisa and Jason on this one!
Is there room for an R&B girl group comeback? Everything else 90's is coming back.....

New Artist Serato Wrap-Up
Mp3 downloads from new and unsigned artists that have hit my inbox over the past couple weeks:
Children Of The Night - "Comedian" [zshare]
810 - "Adventures In Slumberland" (Prod. By Mydus) [zshare]
Albe Back - "Mira Mira" feat. Fabolous [zshare]
Laws - "All for You" [zshare]
J.Nolan - "Pick It Up" [zshare]
Will Roush - "Been A Long Time" feat. Stat Quo [zshare]
I had a couple other tracks that I could have included here but people sent straight mp3 file attachments which means not only are they clogging up my inbox but I then have to go through the process of uploading the damn music myself and like I explained the other day, I'm not spending my whole day doing that bullsh-t!

All-R&B/Soul Tuesday: Shonie - "Can't Let Go" feat. Fabolous
New R&B flavor from Ted Lucas and the Slip N Slide crew (Rick Ross, Trick Daddy, Trina etc.). I like it - to my ears, she sounds like Brandy with a little Shareefa (remember her?) and Keyshia thrown in for good measure....

The 2008 BET Hip Hop Awards Cyphers
Now THIS is real hip hop:
BET Hip Hop Awards comes correct!
My man who was at the awards taped last Saturday told me that Round III with Ace Hood, Juelz, Fab and Jadakiss was retarded and that Ace Hood might have dropped the best verse! Now that I've seen it, I can see why he said that. Agree? Apparently the crowd went nuts when this cypher aired.

Bonus:
"BET Hip Hop Cypher (Round III)" feat. Ace Hood, Juelz Santana, Fabolous & Jadakiss [YSI mp3 D/L link]

Cassidy - B.A.R.S.
Cassidy's new B.A.R.S. album dropped last week. His 2005 I'm A Hustler album ended up being one of my favorite albums of that year so I was looking forward to hearing this follow-up. But while I was expecting more crossover thug bangers and slick verbals, Cassidy's near-death experience and time in prison has led to him making a more thoughtful and spiritual album... and I gotta say I'm disappointed. I understand why he made the album he did and I give him all the credit in the world for following his muse and using his experiences to try and create more positive art but sadly, it doesn't mean it's any good. Never thought I'd say this but Cass, bring back the ign'ant sh-t! For those who agree with me, here's a little treat:
