New Music: Jadakiss feat. Nas & Sheek Louch - Soldier Survivor
OK, not exactly new (actually wild old in blog time), but I kinda missed it when it dropped (I know: how do you miss a track with Nas and the Lox, seriously??) but I heard it a few weeks after and had my wig split as I heard Mister Cee go in on it on his Friday night mixshow. Similar formula but I kind of feel about this how I felt about "Made You Look" - if you don't like this, I seriously question whether you really actually like hip hop. Just saying....
Jadakiss feat. Nas & Sheek Louch - 'Soldier Survivor' [mp3 audio stream]
No D/L link - even though its a mixtape track, I'm not taking any chances with the RIAA's attack dogs. Its from the DJ Drama and DJ Green Lantern-produced The Champ is Here 3 mixtape though which you can download HERE (or stream HERE).

Melanie Fiona Live at the Canal Room in NYC
I was at this showcase. She was cool but she only did about 5 songs which seemed like a waste when she had about 9 people on stage with her including 2 guitarists (not including the bass player) and 2 keyboardists. I know Steve Rifkind ain't got money to blow like that in 2009, Akon profits notwithstanding, does he?
They were giving away this preview sampler of her album, The Bridge hosted by Green Lantern too:

Johnny Polygon - "I Been Runnin"
I don't know this cat from Nathan except he was on an Adele remix I posted last week and this was produced by Green Lantern and is from that OnSMASH mixtape I posted a couple days ago:

Two points though...
Mixtape cats: put your sh-t up on imeem for streaming 'cos seriously, who has time to be downloading all these f-cking mixtapes that you bascially end up listening to one time??
Can we have a moratorium on the Shepard Fairey/Obey 'Obama Hope' poster-inspired artwork? Admittedly it still looks great and is probably the iconic image of 2008 but its pretty much been done to death now. I mean, they even have a program to Obamafy yourself now! WTF??!!

Download it here. Tracklisting here. [Sendpace D/L link via OnSmash]
Heads up: supposedly the D/L file is one long mp3 - why does Green Lantern do that 'cos I seem to recall he did the same thing on the Nas N-gger mixtape too??! Me, I'll wait until someone chops it into individual tracks but I know some of you can't wait so....

New mixtape: DJ Green Lantern & Nas - The N*gger Tape
Download it here. [MediaFire D/L link via Get Right Music]
Been out for a few days so most of y'all probably copped already. Honestly I kind of got bored halfway through listening to this and turned on Tha Carter III again (or something). Anyway, I think N.W.A did it better with just one song on "N-ggaz 4 Life."
