AP video: Unemployment Rates Top 10 Percent
Pause on this video still?
What recovery? Unemployment shoots past 10 percent. [Associated Press]
I know it ain't a good situation but like the President said, this is Econ 101 (or Ec 10 for my Cambridge peoples): it's a lagging indicator, people - a lagging indicator.

Some DMV flavor. I dig this too! Here's Stone (who I swiped this from) on the video:
"Big ups to Seanie Cameras at One Viisiion for producing this amazing video for J Scrilla’s Culture of Honor, which was shot at various locations around the city, including the Edgewood Mural project at Rhode Island Avenue Metro. Lots of DMV love in this video which features a bevy of up and coming DC area talent. K-Beta, XO, Oddisee, Ra the MC, T.E.F.L.O.N., Judah, & Wordsmith make an appearance to support."

Chris Brown vs. Rihanna: the interviews!
Preview of Rihanna's interview with Diane Sawyer for ABC's 20/20 airing tomorrow on ABC at 10PM ET:
[via Miss Info]
And...
A preview of Chris Brown's 30 minute interview with MTV's Sway in which he will talk about the Rihanna incident airing tomorrow at 6PM:
[via the.LIFE Files]
I just wonder if dude will really talk about the incident. After Rihanna spills her guts about the whole sordid thing tomorrow, he won't have protecting her privacy as an excuse to hide behind from owning up to his vile actions. I don't have much in the way of hope or expectations though - he hasn't put a foot right since this terrible thing happened and he's come off as evasive and not really cognizant of how serious what he did was in his media appearances to date. He actually thought the interview he did with Hot 97's Angie Martinez would be the first and last time he'd have to talk about this on radio! Is he f-cking kidding?? He's gonna be talking about this for the rest of his life!

Current Music Presents Embedded with Common, Lykke Li and Bloc Party
The plug:
"Common takes us cross-country for a whirlwind promotional tour. We're Embedded with him at morning radio shows, record store signings and on stage. Then we head to his old neighborhood in Chicago where he explains how Barack Obama has raised the bar for all of hip-hop. Along the way, Mos Def, Pharrell, and Will.i.am testify as to why Common is one of the greatest in the game.
Plus, Swedish phenom Lykke Li storms San Francisco thrift shops to find an outfit for her show, and Bloc Party performs "This Modern Love" acoustic on a sidewalk in Paris.
Current Music Presents: Embedded is a six part special that puts you on the ground and behind the scenes with unrivaled access to your favorite musicians. We've traveled the world, going beyond performances to bring you the most intimate and unfiltered moments in artists' lives. When others stop the cameras, we capture the real story of today's top musicians."

Music video: Young Dro feat. Yung LA - "I Don't Know Ya'll"
Directed by Gabriel Hart:
"To call Young Dro’s latest clip “animated” would be a severe understatement. With depicted scenery functioning like real-life oil paintings, it’s literally a work of an art. Grand Hustle’s pinch hitters prove their vision can be as colorful as their lyrics."
This video is pretty incredible and worth watching regardless of whether you're a fan of Dro and Southern hip hop or not.
