Night Flight from The Connoisseurs of Culture Present J. Nolan - BROKEN DREAMS
Next song from the new BROKEN DREAMS project by ATL rapper, J. Nolan dropping June 7
Here's J. Nolan on the track:
"'Night Flight' is a concept song based upon physically looking down at the world and basically documenting what I see from an imaginary perspective, a 'high class society' perspective, and a middle ground of reality perspective. The song is produced by No Alias from Los Angeles, who also did "Feeling Good" and a few other joints on the album. Broken Dreams for free download on June 7th."
Kind of fits in with the theme of one of the books I'm reading right now, Jonathan Lethem's Fortress of Solitude.
This officially dropped yesterday but I'm a little out of it being that I'm on a semi-vacation right now. Might try to to get a few posts up today though because the weather's looking kind of wack.

New Music: The Connoisseurs of Culture present J. Nolan - BROKEN DREAMS
Yes! The Connoisseurs of Culture are back with another fine joint venture. This time we present J. Nolan, a young gunner out the ATL.
Some of you regular readers are probably familiar with the name from seeing it on the various posts I've done on him here at The Kitchen over the past couple years. If you haven't checked out his music to date yet, now is the time to start. Dig classic, mid-90's inspired hip hop - heartfelt quality rhymes over smoothed-out jazz/soul-breaks and loops (yeah, kind of like what Kanye used to do)? Then this is you all day.
"Feeling Good" is the first official joint, produced by No Alias, off the forthcoming BROKEN DREAMS mixtape album dropping June 7th. Check it out and let me know what you think.

DJ Booth.net presents: The Black Sunn - Sol Parables (Extended Play Mixtape)
If you dug that 810/Black Sunn joint I just posted, here's how to get the whole EP its from:
Sol [sol] –noun 1. The sun. Parable [par-uh-buhl] –noun 1. A short allegorical story designed to illustrate or teach some truth, religious principle, or moral lesson. 2. A statement or comment that conveys a meaning indirectly by the use of comparison, analogy, or the like.
"On his new, DJBooth.net-hosted Sol Parables mixtape, Baltimore emcee The Black Sunn presents nine musical narratives designed to entertain listeners and spread knowledge in the process – whether you feel it or not, you can’t deny the truth.
Included on the project are Booth-premiered leaks “Black Serenade” and “Leave Luck to Heaven,” along with guest appearances by J. Nolan, B Wisdom and 810. Beats come courtesy of Damu the Fudgemunk, Remot, Mydus and more."

New music from J. Nolan - Without You feat. Miguel Lord
New song from an indie MC I've supported a few times here at The Kitchen. This one's on the spiritual tip and is supposedly from his forthcoming project entitled, Broken Dreams that is scheduled to drop sometime in April.

New Artist Serato Wrap-Up
Mp3 downloads from new and unsigned artists that have hit my inbox over the past couple weeks:
Children Of The Night - "Comedian" [zshare]
810 - "Adventures In Slumberland" (Prod. By Mydus) [zshare]
Albe Back - "Mira Mira" feat. Fabolous [zshare]
Laws - "All for You" [zshare]
J.Nolan - "Pick It Up" [zshare]
Will Roush - "Been A Long Time" feat. Stat Quo [zshare]
I had a couple other tracks that I could have included here but people sent straight mp3 file attachments which means not only are they clogging up my inbox but I then have to go through the process of uploading the damn music myself and like I explained the other day, I'm not spending my whole day doing that bullsh-t!

New video: J. Nolan - "Soul Brother Pt. 2"
I'm feeling this kid but this video is just kind of meh to me (needs some non-performance set-ups to break it up visually a bit). His mixtape is pretty good still though. In fact, I'm not even sure this should have been the song to shoot the video to but I'd have to play the tape some more to say for sure....
