New Music: T-Pain & Rick Ross - Rap Song
After a couple false starts looks like Teddy P is gonna play it safe and go back to the formula that had him running urban pop music from 2005 through 20009 with this track which sounds like the 2010 version of his smash, "Buy U A Drank." After we done been autotuned out though after all these years, is this track too little, too late to help

But very gently. The funniest part is at the 2:05 mark when Jay autotunes his central message, LMAO!

Is this a hit record or is T-Pain's run coming to an end? That "Take Your Shirt Off" was a brick from what I could tell

Music video: Dj Khaled feat T-Pain, Ludacris, Rick Ross & Snoop Dogg – All I Do Is Win
Khaled part II. What label is this dude on anyway and did they really just pay for two videos that almost look the same except one is indoors and the other is outdoors (more or less....)?

Are pro sports leagues gonna be the only entities who can afford to release music in the future? Despite the totally crass, corporate tie-in, I actually like this track a lot....

New from T-Pain and the Nappy Boy Entertainment crew
First, the "Every Girl (remix)" video by The NB All Stars (T-Pain, Young Cash, Tay Dizm & Travis McCoy) directed by the poor man's Rik Cordero, Jordan Tower. Watch the actually not too bad clip and soak in the irony of it being labeled 'untagged' on youtube.
Next:
Young Cash (with T-Pain) from the NB All-Star's new single:

Wow! No words, seriously! Is this coonery or all in good fun? Somebody weigh in here 'cos honestly I'm not even sure how I should feel about that one...

Week End Serato Wrap-Up
Best of the blogs from the past week or so:
Jay-Z feat. Santogold & Beastie Boys - "Brooklyn Go Hard (DJ Rob Dinero remix)" - re-upped by popular demand ONE TIME ONLY! [yousendit mp3 download link]
Kanye West feat. T-Pain - "Flight School" [zshare stream/download mp3 link via Miss Info/NMC]

Chelley - "Took the Night" [download links: yousendit mp3 | alt. links here]*
I know: not much hip hop here. I'm dropping a GRIP of hip hop links over on twitter though. It's quick and easy and allows me to share way more music, videos and other stuff without killing my whole day. Follow me.
* I know I posted this before but The Hype Machine didn't pick up the file. Normally I wouldn't give a f-ck but this is gonna be a BIG record that I think people need to know about.

New music: Maino - "All the Above" feat. T-Pain
Maino pretty much embodies what's wrong with NYC hip hop to me (no distinct musical identity or vision, mediocre or local/regional-only hit records). That being said though, this record ain't actually too bad (for a "Live Your Life" knock-off, that is). Will people give a f-ck though?

T-Pain's THR33 RINGZ album cover reimagined!
By legendary art designer, Joe Buck (probably best known for this iconic album cover
). Here's the original THR33 RINGZ cover
- what y'all think of the remix in comparison?Joe's been doing a whole series (titled 'Revisions') of these reimagined album cover designs including more recently, J. Dilla's Ruff Draft. The rest of them can be found here. Future covers may include remixes or revisions of beats from the albums in question by new prodcuer damu the fudgemunk (pause on that name though!).

T-Pain feat. Chris Brown - "Freeze" video
Speaking of T-Pain, here's his new video featuring Chris Brown. This is the third single from his THR33 RINGZ album. Some folks have bitched about all the videos from this album looking the same but dude is trying to do some something different & creative with the visuals on this project and I'd say he's succeeded. Or do y'all wanna watch another in the club/in the hood video?
