New Music: Colin Munroe – One (Sky Ferreira Revox)

"I'm emailing today to share the first installment from a new project I'm working on...The Revox Suite. If you remember my revox of Bob Dylan's "Who Killed Davey Moore" off my Unsung Hero Mixtape then you get the idea. I wanted to create a series of remixes using (basically) only my voice.
First up is a revox of Sky Ferreira's single, "One". I had the pleasure of working with Sky on her upcoming LP (more on that later...) She has an amazing voice. Here's a chance to hear "One" like you've never heard it before."

New mixtape: Colin Munroe - Unsung Hero
I dug his remake & video for Ye's "Flashing Lights."
But I saw this mixtape, featuring Mickey Factz, Wale, Joell Ortiz, Skyzoo etc., a while ago and never got around to posting it even though a ton of other blogs I check for did. My dude Sledge says I'm sleeping and that this (and the Clipse mixtape I just posted) are supposedly better than a lot of 'real' albums out currently so I'm gonna peep it now. Is he right though?

Yet another remix (more like a remake/reinterpretation in this case) of Kanye's current single, "Flashing Lights" complete with the above video. This kid is pretty soulful sounding though - could this fellow Canuck be the next Adam Levine... maybe?
