A Look Back on the Fifth Anniversary at Hurricane Katrina

Louisianians Give Bush Higher Marks Than Obama for Crisis Response. [AOL Politics Daily]

Really?? Have people already forgotten how incompetently Bush handled this tragedy?? Let me refresh your memory...

"Why is no one in charge?"

"I done called for a shelter, I done called for help. There ain't none. No one answers...."

"You don't want to be here at night....."

A lot of people are ashamed of what is happening in this country right now...."

"These people are dying for no other reason than the lack of organization...."

"Lives were lost that did not need to be lost...."

New Orleans: Two Years Later.

Katrina “Has Fallen So Far Off The Radar Screen, You Can’t Find It”

"To the extent the federal government didn't fully do its job right, I take responsibility...."

Lost Hope: is President Obama Drowning in the Fallout from the Oil Disaster?

Photobucket

It started as a loony Right Wing Obama attack talking point but is it actually coming true? Is the BP Gulf oil spill turning into 'Obama's Katrina' due to a perceived slack Federal government repsonse to the disaster. Maybe yes, maybe no but frankly, the fact more people fault President Obama here than faulted George W. Bush for his disastrous repsonse during the Hurricane Katrina debacle is disturbing.

Rand Paul: The Scary New Face of the Tea Party Movement?

The front:

The reality:

Rand Paul calls Obama BP criticism 'un-American' - WTF??! Who's coming out in defense of BP??

In an interview with MSNBC's Rachel Maddow, Paul says he does not fully support the landmark 1964 Civil Rights Act! He woulda fought to maintain private businesses' right to continue being racist. I'm gonna applaud him for keeping it real even though now in the wake of the fallout and outcry, he's backpedaling like a muhf-cka!

Well at least the GOP ended their Financial Reform cock-blocking. I mean seriously, who's still riding with f-cks like Goldman Sachs?? Oh yeah, the GOP (and incredulously, Warren Buffet) still are....

Video: President Obama On the Passage of Health Reform

This is video of President Obama speaking moments after the historic passage by the House of Representatives of the Senate's health reform legislation.

Amazing sh-t! He did something that the US needed and that 70 years worth of American presidents, including Bill Clinton, couldn't. Now that's leadership and what Change looks like! #LetObamaBeGreat (with a nod to Nancy Pelosi)

Video: President Obama gets Constantly Interrupted by Bret Baier of Fox News

I know this has been edited for maximum effect but this is f-cking UNBELIEVABLE still. MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell is right: the lack of respect shown here for President Obama by Bret Bairer of Fox News is jaw-dropping and would never have been in question had this been the previous President. Shameful....

The US: On the Road to Recovery?

Obviously this is spin from the White House's p.o.v. but if you only watched Fox News all day you'd think the President was destroying the US from the inside by turning it into a Communist/Socialist/Nazi state (er... what??)

But he makes a fairly compelling case with that video and one simple chart, no?

Video: The Bipartisan Meeting on Health Reform: Part 1

I thought this was a great look for President Obama. He showed real leadership first of all convening this summit and then, in an era of so-called broken government and sharp bipartisan divisions, smoothly managing what could have been an absolute clusterf-ck! #LetObamaLive

Click HERE to get the additional clips from the Health Care Summit as they get posted on the official White House Youtube channel.
