Check out the New Mixtape by TRIMM meets SMKA

Here's the plug:
"TRIMM meets SMKA is the second project in the “(dope artist) meets SMKA” series, and follows the successful release of Mr. Falyon meets SMKA, in June 2009. The project showcases TRIMM, who has been making waves in the music industry for a couple years and is arguably one of the best lyricists in the Atlanta. TRIMM meets SMKA includes 9 tracks, two of which are produced by Battery 5, while the other 7 are produced by SMKA. There is additional production work from Justin Padron on “Real Shit.” TRIMM meets SMKA also includes features from Gripplyaz, A.leon Craft, Elz, J.Beans and Crook Brown."
If you dig what you hear on the bandcamp streaming player above, you can dowload the album HERE.
Also, if you live in or near the A, check out the album release party at Vinyl (CW Complex), hosted by Don Cannon this Thursday (Nov. 5). Click HERE for the flyer.

Don Cannon & Young Chris - The Network: 28 Grams Reloaded mixtape

This dropped a couple weeks ago but cats are sleeping on this dude so I'm posting it now anyway. His last mixtape was amazing and word is Hov's Blueprint rhyme flow was pretty much jacked wholesale from this kid when he was part of the Rocafella stable as a member of the duo, the Young Gunz. I didn't listen to this whole thing but what I've heard of it so far was pretty hot!

Drama Tells All in Ozone?

From an e-blast I just received:
"Months after the RIAA raid of the Aphilliates Music Group’s office, DJ Drama finally breaks his silence in an exclusive interview with OZONE Magazine. In the May Five Year Anniversary issue of OZONE (in stores May 1st), Drama gives a detailed description of the RIAA raid, saying, “I was getting into my car and heard the sirens and the undercover Tahoe pulled up on the curb. First thing I saw…about five police [officers] jumped out. Cobra unit outfits on, M16s drawn, and they were headed directly for us."
In addition to discussing the raid, Drama talks about the future of mixtapes, his forthcoming Gangsta Grillz: The Album, and the realization that came after his arrest. “I spent 24 hours in jail, and it was a long 24 hours... But it showed the amount of support we have,” Drama said. “I got out and saw ‘Free Drama and Cannon’ campaigns... I wasn’t even in jail for a night and a movement had started. I realized that it was bigger than me. It was bigger than Cannon. What happened to us represented a bigger struggle.”"
Shout to JB!
