Hip Hop: no better than Imus?

It's already been discussed to death but after reading one of the daily press packs I get at work, which was basically 50% Imus & hip hop-related articles, I figured I'd link to some of the more notable articles I read...
Wall Street Journal: Hip-hop "artists" are no better than Imus.
NYC's Power 105 cracks down on hip-hop lyrics.
British PM Tony Blair blames spate of murders on black culture. Think about that for a minute.... (link via Cameron)
Imus rap takes Oprah inward.
War of words for Rev. Al & rap execs.
Time to clean house? HSAN Chairman Russell Simmons Calls For Closed Door Meeting To Discuss The Status Of Hip-Hop. I wonder if they'll have execs from Stones Throw, Rhymesayers, Fat Beats etc. there?
Meanwhile, rock CD sales are rollin' again! Hip Hop is Dead?
