Some Music from them xx Kids....
Not like I really know but apparently these indie hipsters are the current 'It' kids & buzz item amongst bloggers. Their A&R guy is a former colleague of mine and hit me up a while ago about them saying they supposedly love contemporary urban music wanted to connect with some big-name R&B acts for some collabs or remixes or something. I hit him back but he never got back to me to follow up but maybe something like this is what they had in mind?

For those that don't know, longtime NY club and Hot 97 radio DJ, Mister Cee was a pivotal figure in introducing Biggie to Sean "Puffy" Combs (now known as Diddy). I remember BIG kinda clowned RA in an interview when asked about the "Every Record Label" joint he did with him but RA is actually nice and a I don't think BIG woulda done the joint period if he didn't kind of think that too.

I was incredibly delinquent in not sharing a lot of the great links I had found around the internets commemorating the anniversaries of Big L and J Dilla's passings but I'm a(n adopted) Brooklyn head, so there's no way I'm passing up acknowledging the anniversary of BIG's passing tomorrow, especially when I was just sent this by Mike at Snag Films:
"In 1997, rap superstars Tupac Shakur and Christopher Wallace (aka Biggie Smalls, The Notorious B.I.G.) were gunned down in separate incidents, the apparent victims of hip hop's infamous east-west rivalry. Nick Broomfield's film, Biggie & Tupac introduces Russell Poole, an ex-cop with damning evidence that suggests the LAPD deliberately fumbled the case to conceal connections between the police, LA gangs and Death Row Records, the label run by feared rap mogul Marion "Suge" Knight."

I've long contended that Nelly's career faltered the moment he turned down the "Low" record and let that bum Flo-Rida in the building to annoy us all, but this record ain't actually too bad! It kind of reminds me of the track these guys did for the Bad Boys II soundtrack.
