New Music: Skillz - Call Me Crazy feat. Raheem Devaughn
New single from the The World Needs More Skillz album dropping 10.12.10. If you're gonna do smoothed-out R&B hip hop, I prefer it to sound something like this, but that's just me....

This has been out a few months but not sure how many cats are up on this kid who is from Maryland and down with Raheem DeVaughn's 368 Music Group. He definitely shows a lot of promise and might appeal to those who (like me) dig Wale.

Video: XO featuring Raheem Devaughn – Take Home
Presented by Kenny Burns' Studio43 and Cool Kids Forever Films. I think Studio43 is similar to Damon Dash's DD172 work space and actually might be where Dame copped the idea from? Hey talent borrows, genius steals as the saying goes....

Music video: Raheem DeVaughn – "Bulletproof" feat. Ludacris
I love this dude (pause) - he's like a hip hop Curtis Mayfield. This video looks a little low budget though!

Raheem Devaughn - Love Behind the Melody is IN STORES NOW!
Don't be shocked if homeboy comes in top 5 next week and has the whole music industry going, "Raheem, who??"
Sorry it's been a bit slow around these parts: been busy at work plus not that much inspiring me to post right now. I will say this though: all those bloggers who were talking up the Turf Talk album a few months back were right - that sh-t is friggin' GREAT. Not that I thought 2007 was a bad year for hip hop albums personally like the perennially, grumpy haters that are always complaining but the West Coast Vaccine album reminded me yet again that there was a time when hip hop albums could be repeat listens and great from top to bottom.
