Trailer for The Hip Hop Project Documentary Movie
PAY F-CKING ATTENTION, people!!!! Besides the coonery & rampant, soulless money-making, this is what hip hop should be doing:

This movie is opening May 11 but there was an advanced screening in DC today at 2PM - unfortunately I only saw the email promoting it now (note to the solSource group: how you gonna only send it out the day before?? Marketing/PR #FAIL), but make sure to go check this when it comes out.

What is Blackbird Fly?
Blackbird fly is a proactive response to the condition of young women in our communities. Many of whom have not had the proper training to go from girls to young ladies. The world has moved around them, and in some cases right by them, far too fast. Blackbird Fly is focused on giving these young women a window into what life not only could be like for them…. but SHOULD be like for them.

I hope people aren't getting blase about that situation because the situation there is beyond f-cked up. Well over 100,000 dead and over a million estimated left homeless.
