New Music: Aleon Craft - The Prologue Pt. 1
"The Prologue is a two-part introduction into Aleon Craft (the artist) and The Solar-Hop Chronicles (a collection of his music to be released in the future). The Prologue Pt. 1 (released Monday, March 15th) is the first installment of the 2-part project (Part 2 out Monday, April 19th). Independently, The Prologue Pt. 1, and Pt. 2, is an incomplete representation of Craft.
Part 1 & 2 are two sides of the same coin. Each project depicts a different side of Craft, and together they represent the range of music that he creates. The project is split into 2 parts so that the listener can properly digest the music, and ideally have a better understanding of Aleon Craft, the artist. Aleon Craft’s The Prologue will be released in full on April 26th."
Er, WTF?? More seriously though, check this out if you're missing that classic Outkast sound 'cos this guy's as out in left-field musically as his fellow ATLiens.

New music: Yelawolf - Deer Mama
Nice flip of the blaxploitation classic, "Shaft" by the late great Isaac Hayes for a track produced by SMKA. This is a leak off The 808 Experiment: Vol 2 mixtape album. I think I posted Vol. 1 - click the SMKA label below and it should come up....
Been debating with my Grindin' fam whether this kid, Yelawolf is gonna blow. He seems to be all the over the place recently (on the internets, at least) but I'm not convinced. Others?

Check out the New Mixtape by TRIMM meets SMKA
Here's the plug:
"TRIMM meets SMKA is the second project in the “(dope artist) meets SMKA” series, and follows the successful release of Mr. Falyon meets SMKA, in June 2009. The project showcases TRIMM, who has been making waves in the music industry for a couple years and is arguably one of the best lyricists in the Atlanta. TRIMM meets SMKA includes 9 tracks, two of which are produced by Battery 5, while the other 7 are produced by SMKA. There is additional production work from Justin Padron on “Real Shit.” TRIMM meets SMKA also includes features from Gripplyaz, A.leon Craft, Elz, J.Beans and Crook Brown."
