Music Video: Armageddon feat. Fat Joe, N.O.R.E. & DJ Doo Wop – It’s Over (Remix)
My dude, Bryan's comments HERE notwithstanding, this is the kind of music that still gets me open: bangin' hip hop....
BTW: the homie, Aqua says Joey Crack's album is good!

September 15: Hip Hop 'Super Tuesday' - how do they stack up?
Kid Cudi - Man on the Moon: The End of Day Album Sampler
Rae Jay Day last week was major, no doubt and we'll get the final sales results on Wednesday (there's no question Hov is coming in #1 - the only questions outstanding are: with how many sales and how well long-awaited OB4CL2 will do?) As September 15 approached though it became apparent that there were gonna be a bunch of notable hip hop albums coming out tomorrow too, so while its unlikely to be the sales extravaganza a new Jay-Z album promises, I thought it might be interesting to make some predictions on the order tomorrow's releases would come in on the chart (not exact chart positions though 'cos I just don't have enough info to hazard any kind of reasonable or accurate guesses on that) and with how many units sold.
Here's how I see it going down:
1. Drake - So Far Gone: 45,000 (I think I'm wildy overestimating on this one but thought I'd errr on side of throwing caution to the wind. Would be happy to be under on this though, real talk!)
2. Lil Boosie - SuperBad: The Return of Boosie Bad Azz: 35,000
3. Kid Cudi - Man on the Moon: The End of Day: 30,000
4. Q- tip - Kamaal the Abstract: 18,000
5. M.O.P. - Foundation: 16,000
6. KRS-One & Buckshot - Surivival Skills: 12,000
7. N.O.R.E. - S.O.R.E.: 2,500
I did this without cribbing from Hits or reading any other industry trade info or talking to any of my peoples in the industry so these are pretty much blind predictions that could be wildly off on the high or low side. How'd I do though, all that being said? Agree? Or not? Feel free to make your own predictions in the comments section below.

MSTRKRFT - Fist Of God CONTEST

To celebrate the recent release of the new MSTRKRFT album, Fist of God, Cornerstone Promotions and Downtown Records has generously offered to give away two prize packs comprised of a limited edition poster and vinyl edition of the Fist of God album for the good readers here at The Kitchen.
In order to win, I'm gonna keep this ultra simple: send an email to different.kitchen@gmail.com (subject line: MSTRKRFT Contest) and answer the question: What is the name of the hip hop duo rapper NORE, who is featured on the track "Bounce" from Fist of God, is a member of? The two winners will be selected at random from all correct entries when the contest ends at 11:59:59 EST tomorrow (Wed).
Check out:

New music: MSTRKRFT - "Click Click" feat. E-40

MSTRKRFT sounds like they've been listening to the Justice album based on this new track from their Fist Of God album dropping next week digitally and the week after on CD. Check it:

Watch the "Bounce" video featuring NORE - seriously, wouldn't these dudes have been better off bringing in one of these new hipster type rappers like Mickey Factz to spit on they sh-t rather than, no and real disrespect intended 'cos I'm actually a fan of both of them, kind-of past-it-MC's like 40-water and NORE?? I'm just sayin'....

Week End Serato Wrap Up

What's hot on the hip hop blogs from the past week or so:
Ludacris - "I Do It For Hip Hop" feat. Nas & Jay-Z [zshare stream/download mp3 link via 2 Dope Boyz]
NORE feat. Busta Rhymes - "Rotate" (prod. Ron Browz) [4shared.com stream/download link via 5 Star Hip Hop]
Common - "Be (Original Version)" (prod. by Dilla) [zshare No DJ version via okayplayer]
Kanye West feat. Young Jeezy - "Amazing" [zshare link via Project Covo/Google Search]
Hot or not? My thoughts: the Luda track is giving me 92/93 G-Funk vibes (but sorry about the watermarked-to-death version); how is that Common track the original version of "Be", it doesn't sound NOTHING like it (or maybe I should go back and A-B the rhymes with the album version?); and might NORE really be back on some "Superthug" 2008 sh-t on this track with producer du jour, Ron Browz?! We'll see....
