PBS Documentary scored by Blitz the Ambassador premieres TOMORROW!

"Tomorrow at 10:00PM EST, an original score composed by Ghanaian-American hip-hop artist/producer Blitz the Ambassador will be featured in PBS Network's POV Series documentary, Bronx Princess. The stirring film spotlights a Bronx-bred teenager, Rocky Otoo, who leaves her mother in New York City to reunite with her father, a chief in her native Ghana. The film is anchored by an original, infectious West African "high-life" score composed by Blitz and performed by The Embassy Ensemble, the Afrobeat-inspired band that accompanies Blitz live in concert.
Bronx Princess is part of PBS' award-winning POV Documentary series, the longest-running televised showcase for independent non-fiction films. The POV series is celebrated for its intimate storytelling and ability to put a human face on social issues."

TONIGHT: Blitz the Ambassador & the Embassy Ensemble Live at SOB's in NYC!!!
NYC heads: go see why this new artist has a lot of rap bloggers going NUTS!!! I saw himself a few months back at a Hot 97 showcase at SOB's and was really impressed even though I only knew a couple of his songs. Blitz is the truth!

Video of Blitz The Ambassador at HOT 97's Common Ground Showcase
Again, the picture is dark and the sound is horrible but if you tilt your head, squint your eyes and listen REAL hard you can kind of tell that Blitz put on a great, albeit short, headlining performance at SOB's last Thursday. 2-video playlist of this performance inlcudes the track, "B-Boy."

New music: Blitz The Ambassador - "Hands Of Time"
I usually hate "remember how much better hip hop was back in the day" type songs but I'm gonna give Blitz a pass for his "Hands Of Time." Damn, I wonder if he cleared all those samples though?! Shout to my dude and Blitz manager, Kwasi too.
Blitz played the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival earlier this summer and is currently on the Warped tour but for NYC heads, he will be back to play the Lyricist Lounge presents Celebrate Brooklyn show in Prospect Park with KRS-One and Ladybug Mecca on August 3 and the Black August show at Nokia Theater on August 26.
