New Music: L.E.$ (of Boss Hogg Outlawz) - True Talk / Str8 Drop
From "Real Talk" to "True Talk." This dude (from Slim Thug's Boss Hogg Outlawz crew) can spit! J Dawg featured on that "Real Talk" track posted yesterday and Killa Kyleon are also part of the Boss Hogg crew. I kind of slept on that movement - I might have to do some exploring, speaking of which....

New Music: Jody Breeze – Bring It Back
This ain't actually that new any more (it's from at least July) but I'm a Jody Breeze fan and it perplexes me how he threw away the buzz he had like four, five years ago at this point....

Music Video: OJ Da Juiceman – Coogi
I love that Coogi is still hot in the South (if this video is any indication, that is). I know it made a minor comeback a few years ago and the brand just hired Jada to try and save it once more but is NY really f-cking with it any more since its heyday in the B.I.G. era??! (I guess one answer comes courtesy of 'Ye if you listen to his rhymes at the 1:53 mark on that new Justin Bieber remix) Maybe they shoulda just hired Da Juiceman though (or maybe they did??!) Track produced by Fat Boi.

New Music: A Dub feat. Killa Kyleon & Short Dawg – Time To Get Money
Perfect souled-out smooth, Down South gangsta track to wrap up the night and roll into a (hopefully) sunny tomorrow....
A Dub feat. Killa Kyleon & Short Dawg – Time To Get Money [mp3 download]
Note: Short Dawg is NOT the homie, Too $hort here. Isn't that kind of some flagrant, sacrilegious sh-t jacking a rap legend's nickname like that?! And BTW: speaking of rap names but on some blog nerd sh-t, A Dub has gotta be one of more SEO-unfriendly rap names out right now, no?
Bonus:
Just noticed the homie, Modi dropped a link to the Killa Kyleon x DJ Drama Natural Born Killa mixtape in the inbox a little while back- check it:

Waka on two teen hop bangers in a row?? I ain't mad! This track is CRAZY!!! It's got a Baile Funk feel to it too, no? Artist might officially go by the name Muffmommy also? Either way homegirl, Rye Rye from Baltimore better start sweating 'cos this chica's coming for her!

Radio Documentary: Headland & Delowe: ATL Hip Hop from ‘79- ‘til
Interesting, peep the science:
"It’s here. The first official episode in my documentary series about ATL Hip Hop.
The city of Atlanta has a complex and long history with Hip Hop going back into the late 1970’s.
Much of this history pre-LaFace records, pre-Outkast and GooDie MoB isn’t known. Headland & Delowe is a documentary series attempting to weave together the story lines of the artists, managers, promoters and journalists from the ATL Hip Hop scene over the past three decades to get an understanding of where Atlanta Hip Hop has been and where it might be going.
In this episode I speak with pioneers like B-Boy Zapper of ATL’s HBO crew, MC Shy D and DJ Jelly, current stars like Cee-lo, Pill and DJ Mars and underground stalwarts like Senor Kaos and H20.
All the music featured in this episode is Hip Hop from the City of Atlanta."
