New music from Ski Beatz' 24 Hour Karate School Project
Joell Ortiz again?? Yezzir!!!
I've only heard a handful of things from this album (assuming this eponymous track by Mos Def is officially part of this project too??) but what I have heard is sounding incredible! Say what you want about Damon Dash, who's overseeing this project via his new DD172 creative space, (and I have in the past) but this could be contender for hip hop album of the year already. Yeah, I said it! Long-time readers know I've never been much of a fan of Jean Grae either but she sounds amazing here too. 'Real' hip hop is back!!!

Say what you want about Damon Dash, I f-cks with this project. It's a great idea: indie rock band The Black Keys is set to release a rap/rock album entitled Blak Roc featuring MC's such as Q-Tip, Ludacris, Raekwon, RZA, Billy Danze (M.O.P.), Pharoahe Monch & ODB on a label set up by Dash specifically for this project. Throwback movie: State Property
(State) props to DCtoBC for putting me up on the fact that Hulu has full movies up on their site to watch. I can't front: State Prop I and II are two of my favorite guilty pleasure movies. Back when I had cable, I used to watch both of them whenever they came on TV without fail no matter if I'd miss part of them or not. In fact, I also think SP II might be better than part I!
