New Music from Eminem....

Photobucket

The Relapse album may have disappointed many, including myself, but you sleep on Eminem at your peril!

Truth be told I've never been enough of a fan of Em that I played any of his albums with any kind of regularity but I acknowledge that his first three full lengths are significant works in hip hop and indisputably, he's one of the best to ever to do it on the mic and he could eat ANY MC you care to mention head to head: B.I.G., Jay, Nas, Rakim in his prime, 3-Stacks, Kane whomever. I stand by that statement.

Recent work by Em - cameos on Drake's "Forever", B.o.B.'s "Airplanes Part II", Lil Wayne's "Drop the World" and a venomous freestyle attacking Mariah Carey - suggested that post the lukewarm reaction to Relapse, despite is stellar sales, he knew he had retreat, re-evaluate and re-boot and was now ready to come back correct! The two latest tracks by him only bolster that thinking.

"Not Afraid", the first official single from his forthcoming Recovery album sees Slim Shady WRECKIN' a decent but sad-to-concede, kind of generic DJ Khaled-lite beat by Tdot beatsmith, Boi-1da while a freestyle over Drake's "Over" and Lloyd Banks' "Beamer, Benz of Bentley" demonstrates yet again that pound-for-pound, he can still make a very serious claim for G.O.A.T. status. Check 'em for yourself and tell me I ain't lying:
