"We can't kill our way to victory..."
So says the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff , Adm. Mike Mullen about Afganistan. He also says the U.S. is "running out of time" to win the war in there. [CNN]
So on the seventh anniversary of 9/11 this is where we're at:
Bin Laden STILL not captured or dead, despite McCain claiming he has the plan on how to to do it!

The failure of Bush policy post-9/11 - "The "global war on terror" is over -- and we lost." [Salon]
Al Qaeda still thriving. [CNN]
Meanwhile there are hot spots in Pakistan and the former Soviet Union that the US is now stretched too thin, because of commitments in Iraq, to address militarily (if need be).
