Control - official movie trailer
Off the hip hop path like we do on occasion, here's the 'official trailer' (supposedly - there's a ton of them) for the Ian Curtis/Joy Division biopic Control:
If you grew up where and (ahem...) when I did or listening to indie rock and post-punk music, you already know how seminal a group Joy Division was. For those thinking, "Ian, WTF?" though, Joy Division was the precursor group to New Order, a seminal 80's new wave/alternative act in their own right who influenced everyone from Daft Punk to Rihanna who sampled their biggest hit, "Blue Monday" for her recent "Shut Up and Drive" single.
Control opens this Wednesday.
