GOP: Hijacking Democracy?

Like I said the other day, it might be better if the Dems actually lost the midterm elections on Tuesday. But given the GOP's track record, they might not have a choice in the matter either way. Peep game:
"Princeton researchers have shown how a criminal can steal an election undetected, using an actual Diebold voting machine. Even more frightening, you only have to access one machine. A computer virus can be implanted in only one machine and spread undetected. Do we want to trust our elections to machines that can be hacked without a trace in less than one minute?" (Click here to see the video)
Florida Voting Machine Conspiracy? "Debra A. Reed voted with her boss on Wednesday at African-American Research Library and Cultural Center near Fort Lauderdale. Her vote went smoothly, but boss Gary Rudolf called her over to look at what was happening on his machine. He touched the screen for gubernatorial candidate Jim Davis, a Democrat, but the review screen repeatedly registered the Republican, Charlie Crist."
Diebold voting machine code mailed to legislator: "Cheryl C. Kagan, a longtime critic of Maryland's elections chief, says the fact that the computer disks were sent to her - along with an unsigned note criticizing the management of the state elections board - demonstrates that Maryland's voting system faces grave security threats." (related: Electronic voting machines 'could skew elections.')
And it's not just cheating via the e-voting machines either: voter registrations faked in GOP drive.
But this alleged Hugo Chavez/e-voting connect is throwing off my hypothesis about general GOP election f-ckery. Or is it?
Either way, [the other] O-Dub asks, "Somebody Explain why practically every single irregularity we've ever seen with electronic voting machines favors the Republican party?"
Finally, videothevote.org asks you to "[Stop] voter suppression, by observing the vote and sharing the results on Election Day." (spotted via Boing Boing)
Bonus:
Watch HBO's "Hacking Democracy": "Electronic voting machines count about 87% of the votes cast in America today. But are they reliable? Are they safe from tampering? Th[is] timely, cautionary documentary exposes gaping holes in the security of America's electronic voting system."
