The New York Times on Kraftwerk
If you don't know who Kraftwerk are I feel sorry for you but luckily this New York Times feature can save you from yourself.
For those of you who think Notorious BIG is old school, to give you a sense of their musical & cultural importance, what Daft Punk are to Kanye West, Justice and modern electronic pop & hip hop music, Kraftwerk were in their day. They are the direct or indirect inspiration for electro, Detroit techno, Miami Bass, new wave synth pop and Chicago house music.
