It was nice knowing you, Asher Roth!

Asher Roth wonders why he'll never be Eminem.

'Cos after your latest shenanigans, your career should be a wrap:

"When I dropped [my "A Millie" fresstyle] ... (I thought) 'You guys are always going off about how much money you have. Do you realize what's going on in this world right now?' All these black rappers - African rappers - talking about how much money they have. 'Do you realize what's going on in Africa right now?'" Roth says.

"It's just like, 'You guys are disgusting. Talking about billions and billions of dollars you have. And spending it frivolously, when you know, the Motherland is suffering beyond belief right now.'"

Honestly, I though this quote was fake 'til I traced it back to an interview he did with AP. And you know what, it's not even like his sentiment is that off-the-mark but his choice of words is. After the first time, I could have given him a pass (if he'd ever bother to explain himself) maybe but, and not to get all PC, if ever there was someone who needs racial sensitivity training, this dude is it! Well he was right about one thing: he'll never be Eminem 'cos unlike Marshall, this guy is completely tone deaf when it come to navigating the cultural and racial waters of being a white rapper in hip hop.
