Video clip from Ain't Gonna Eat My Mind 



Since everyone's so open on looking back at NYC during the heroin era portrayed in American Gangster and the Damon Dash-produced Nicky Barnes documentary, Mr. Untouchable, here's a clip from Ain't Gonna Eat My Mind, a documentary on the NY street gangs of the seventies.

Also check for another movie on NY gangs called Flyin' Cut Sleeves by Henry Chalfant (of Style Wars fame). No idea how you can get DVD copies of these as they don't come up in searches at Amazon or Netflix (I don't think?). I got up on them from seeing clips in a short film that was part of the multi-media installation titled 'Posse' by the artist Dzine at the Brooklyn Museum's 'Infinite Island: Contemporary Caribbean Art' exhibit. That's definitely worth going to check out too by the way....
