Reminiscing over the SP-1200
This is really more of a Crate Kings thing, but I just spotted an interesting article by Ben Detrick on the legendary E-mu SP-1200 sampling drum machine, the "The Dirty Heartbeat of the [hip hop] Golden Age," while thumbing through a Village Voice I picked earlier up this week.
