Underground Hip Hop... is alive?

Still poppin' now that they're down with the House that Lil Jon built? Swollen Members with other guests - Evidence and Everlast - from their Black Magic album
Believe it or not, I'm actually as much into underground hip hop as I am the more mainstream, commerical stuff that has monopolized the coverage on this site over the past year or so. The problem has been that I just don't have time to keep up on the more obscure stuff like I did back in the day when (true story!) I would stay up until 4am listening to or record on VHS tapes the Stretch N Bobbito WKCR radio show.
Thanks to a giant care package I just got from my dude Toro at Caroline distribution, that should change at least for a few weeks as I go through all the CD's he sent me and pick out and post some of the best stuff that you need to get up on.
In the meantime though, here's some other stuff I've had to post for a while and have been sitting on for far too long:
Swollen Members feat. Ghostface Killah & Alchemist "Weight" [MP3: YSI | zshare stream/download] - from their recently-released Black Magic album. Not really my bag overall but it has its moments. Also features Everlast, Phil Da Agony, Planet Asia and Evidence (of Dilated Peoples). (more: MySpace | Buy
Speaking of whom...
Lupe Fiasco & Evidence "Catch Me" [MP3: YSI | zshare stream/download] - from the Dan the Automator-produced NBA 2K7 video game album soundtrack. Man, I waited so long to post this track that it feels like Lupe's buzz has completely dissipated (?) in the meantime. (more: Website | Buy

New DJ Illipse mixtape - I was gonna post it here but Rizoh already has all the relevant links up on his site. Features joints by Clipse, Zion I, Big L, AZ, Camp Lo, Papoose etc.
Trailer for the Fight Klub Triple Threat MC battle DVD - in stores 12/22.

Better late than never: Fader on Dilla.
"Know1edge Reigns Supreme over nearly Everyone" t-shirt. (via High Snobiety)
Spotted at the True boutique on Haight St. while in the Bay last weekend: Chief Rocka t-shirts.
Sneaker culture is over?
Super-nerdery: Mad Villain, Biggie and Jay-Z action figures.
While finally: if you're fans of their music (or are just feeling charitable as the season of goodwill towards all men approaches), support The Coup & Mr. Lif and their families in rebuilding their lives after their horrific recent tour bus accident. (spotted via Jeff Chang)
